Although I receive messages on both my bt email addresses, I cann't send from them when I'm not at home in my office. I'm using Outlook 2011 for Mac. As far as I can see from the forum this seems to be something to do with SMTP Authentication but even when I click on the 'use the same information as my incoming mail' it still won't send. I keep getting this message Mail from 88.3.169.200 refused, see RBL server rbl.btconnect.com. Any ideas?
Hi Chris. try to enable authentication on this. Hope it works for you. Seems like the server doesn't accept relays.
Thanks Kuerten - but no luck I'm afraid. I've enabled authentication with and without password to no effect
Try setting out going mail to default (not 587) on Advanced page.
It worked for me
