Two questions.
A friend of mine recently moved office. As he moved from one exchange area to another he kept his original number by changing to VOIP using a Falcon. is it possible to link in another phone to this, either directly cabled or via a router / WiFi? This is his main number & he needs his calls to be answered in two offices in the same building.
He also has a single POTS line, is it possible to link these two lines together?
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Buzby061
Sorry for the delay in replying to your question.
only 2 ways that I know off and the 1st is a divert to the voip line or porting the PSTN directly onto the voip line.
The divert can be set up from sales 0800 400 400
and if you go for the option of porting the line this can be done via your BTLB office http://www.btlocalbusiness.co.uk/

Hi Buzby061
There a few options open to your friend.
(1st) he can order another Falcon IP phone on the same number (BOTH PHONE WOULD WORK FINE FOR BOTH OUTBOUND AND INCOMING CALLS AT THE SAME TIME)
(2ND) he can configure his BT router to his voip line and use a standard telephone,
to configure the bt router you would go to www.bt.com/businessbbv and enter your broadband voice telephone number (0560*******) and Password and follow the online steps, at the end when it pops up for a username and password these are UN:admin and PW:is routers PW if you have not setup one yourself it will be the serial number which can be found on the side of the router.
(3rd) he can download our BT Office Communicator and make and receive calls via a PC and headset with a mic,
To download BTOC go to www.bt.com/businessbbv/selfcare login with your BBV number and PW and click on the BTOC link then download and follow instructions, once installed you can log into the BTOC software with your BBV number and PW.
Hope this helps

Hi Sean, that sounds like a goer.
Can his POTS line & BBV be linked together?
Pete
Hi Buzby061
As to the POTS line im not sure what this is but a divert can be setup if needed from your POTS line to the voip.

POTS - Plain Old Telephony Service, what used to be called a Direct Exchange Line when I was out & about. Now known as PSTN. Any suggestions how to link the two lines?

I have answer of your 1st question,. Yes you can add as many numbers while using VOIP services through its call routing feature. It is feasible with my service provider, The Real PBX. Check with yours.
