FTP problems since ADSL2

busplus

I use Filezilla to upload and manage websites, my bt site shows the root directories (such as Public) but will not show a directory listing of Public. The website is still functional but I can make no changes. None of my Filezilla settings has been changed since ADSL2 upgrade (everything worked before) at the local exchange (Sandbach). Any ideas would be welcome as this is stopping my business. David

Problem resolved by changing to a BT business hub, 2701HGV-2, instead of the Belkin F5D8635-4 which was in use at the time of the ADSL2+ changeover - the Belkin is a good ADSL router and did work in every other aspect, including showing the improved speeds. The belkin had to have uPnP disabled to allow Xbox360 to work, whereas the uPnP in the BT box (if it is that) works (by showing the network scheme at least) and XBox360 worked without any changes.

So, beware when ADSL 2+ arrives!

It is probably some Belkin setting in its firewall (but switching off the firewall made no difference).

MORE:

I know that this sounds unlikely but it is the only aspect of the set up which has changed. Tested on different machines with 7, XP, Vista with 2x FTP clients, windows explorer and web authoring package, and affects BT and non-BT hosted sites. Everything has worked just fine for many years - now chaos!
