Hi, can anyone confirm if BT install a dedicated analogue line as part of a FttC installation (like they do with sDSL) or does the order actually get placed on an pre-installed line?
Thanks

It will be installed on your existing analogue line - unless you specifically order an additional line which will have a phone number and montyhly rental charge.
SDSL uses the who frequency band right down into where the voice woiuld normally be whereas VDSL starts above the voice frequencies (plus a guard band) and extends up to 17MHz currently and could go as high as 30MHz.

Glad you have your questions answered. Analogue lines are still useful nowadays to provide a means of back up.
Good luck.
