I appear to be getting alot of 500 errors. The whole site goes down for a few hours then magically pops back up again.
This happens on both domains I have registered with you, www.narinasolutions.com and www.ppip.org.uk
193.25.183.52 - - [12/Nov/2009:14:54:47 +0000] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 500 3026 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3"
The above is an example from today on narinasolutions.com - the user was me trying to check the site. The PHP functionality all appears to be working. The only odd thing is that just prior to me discovering it there is this entry from somewhere else (not me - not known who).
host217-44-254-15.range217-44.btcentralplus.com - - [12/Nov/2009:13:35:56 +0000] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 500 3026 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)"
This is the first failure for the outage.
Could someone please check the server events and tell me what the exact cause of the error is please...I have made no changes to code in a few weeks - so it is maybe something on the server...??
Many thanks,
Mike
Sound like it is an issue with ASP.net going down intermittently. It all seems ok at the moment.
Must admit I don't like ASP.net and prefer to work with PHP, it is far less troublesome.
Yep - it does appear to be the server going down - but it would be nice if someone could check the server logs and let me know for sure.
Do I have to ring the 0845 number to resolve these kind of issues, or is there someone reading here that can take a look at the actual server logs?
