Im dissapointed to report we've had to close our eshop because i cant adapt it to our business or adapt our buisness to it.
The problem is the delivery methods.
Ill explain we operate a landscaping supplies company based in Derbyshire,UK. We deliver using our own vehicles throughtout Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire to over 100 postcodes. Each postcode has its own delivery charge regardless of how much or how little is being delivered and the charge is a flat rate, not per item.
Now as far as i can see their is no way with epages of assigning a "price to postcode" delivery cost that is automatically charged during the checkout process, although i note that there is a "region" option within e pages, although it is blocked out on my £25 package.
The only other solution i can think off is to add the delivery cost to the price of the product, but this presents its own problems.
1.We are priced out of the competitive market we are in.
2.To make sure the furthest trip is covered i have to add the dearest delivery charge, so a local delivery is then grossly overpriced.
I would love to carry on with epages (it ticks so many boxes), but this problem is a "deal breaker" for us, would love to hear from anyone with a workaround for this problem or mods.

Hello Stufran,
Depending on the overall number of different regions you might need to set up, I would like to suggest the following workaround:
Exemplify the regions for which different delivery costs apply in an image or a table and put this onto a page within your shop (e.g. customer information or "delivery information"). In this image or table, define the regions as "Delivery zone A" or "Region I". Now set up fixed price delivery methods according to those regions you defined, naming them "Delivery - Region I" or "Delivery - Zone A". You might want to add a note to each method that links to the page with the explanation of the regions.
We will of course forward this to our product management as a suggestion for a future version.
Sincerely,
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately its not really a solution.
The thing about running a succsessful internet shop is transparency. To add delivery charges manually or have prices for delivery hid on another page, tricks the customer who just wants to see how much the item costs on one page.
Plus there is no way of automatically adding the charge for the selected postcode.
Could i also ask why on the utilisation screen the "Regions for Delivery and payment" is highlighted as "This feature is not activated for this website type" along with several other features.
Best Regards
The reason why some items on the utilisation page are hidden is that they are part of the £45/month package! Simples...
Howver, when you take a closer look at the item that are only available on the £45/month package, i find it hard to justify a £20/month jump - itis almost twice the amount but these additional features do not provide nearly twice the value! They appear to "teasers" - knowing we want them but BT/ePages won't give them to us unless be pay the extortionate up lift!
For you particular requirement, i don't believe even the Region option will work - i think it is more for shipping to other countries.
