Help! Mail stopped working on mobile phone!

I have had my mail set up for a long time on my mobile and for the last week not a single email as downloaded or sent.  I manually tell it to load more messages and nothing - and there are new messages in my inbox every day so I know I have them on the server.

 

I have logged in to Office 365 and checked the setitngs, the POP3 and SMTP were slightly wrong (they used to work with the settings I had, so don't know why they have now changed) but anyway, I have changed to the settings it tells me and still no emails downloading.

 

I am using -

 

POP3 - outlook.office365.com

Port - 995

Security Type - SSL

 

SMTP - smtp.office365.com

Port - 587

Security Type - TLS

 

Require sign in is ticked and username and password are both entered correctly.

 

What on earth am I doing wrong???  The last email I had was on 17/8/13, what's happened since then?

 

Please help asap as I need to know when I have new emails.

Hi Magfo

 

can you try these settings and tell me how you get on ?

 

Incoming server

Server - pop.outlook.com

port – 995

connection type – ssl

ensure that this is authorised with the full email address and password including the domain i.e.@btconnect.com

 

Outgoing

Server - smtp.outlook.com

port – 587

connection type – tls

make sure the outgoing server requires authentication and authenticate with the same details as the incoming server
