How long should I be without broadband?

Hi everyone,

I will start now by saying sorry if I get rude or frustrated during this post, I just need to share my experience so far with my broadband issues.
So we have FFTC BT Infinity 38Mb/s line and at the 26th I reported a fault, due to constant loss of internet and slow speeds which I think is a feature of the OpenReach modem to hold a stable connection (I could be wrong).
None the less speaking to BT support on the 26th they noticed I had a phone line issue as well, I really could not care about the phone line as we have not used it in the 2 years we had the line.

Because I called around 20:00pm on the 26th I got told the fault wouldn't be resolved until the Friday, which I found fine and agreed to this term, so I get a text on Friday to say the issue has been resolved to get home and still see the nice and Orange B on the Hub3, restart all the equipment but still nothing but the phone line works! So they only did half a job and fixed something that I did not really care about.

So I called BT Support again, and got told that the broadband fault is still open?! To my knowledge I only phone once to raise a issue about my broadband, not the land line. So I have to wait another 24 hours when I asked the BT Support agent how long it should take to fix he responded with "As long as it takes."  Why oh why do business customer pay a premium for As long as it takes?! After this message I was left fuming.
Saturday I did get a call from a wholesale engineer and he said he fixed it, and to my suprise it was working at max speeds but the latency was somewhat high, which is to be expected after a line fault... but 30 minutes later it died again.

Tried to call the number the engineer contacted me on but no luck, so I had to call BT again whom said the would reject the closing of the case, and Ben (the guy on the phone) was ever so helpfull but my issue is still outstanding.

Now it is Monday and still no real imporvement on the line. What can I do? The broadband is used for working from home, and the speeds at the moment are 12Mb/s.
