I have 2 domain names registered...

My forum works and is accessible using www.senafoxx.co.uk/sfxmusicforums and works perfectly; I have set-up forwarding for the 2nd domain name - www.sfxmusicforums.com (the one i want to use..!!) and get the above error, if i "ping" the domains they both return the same IP Addess so I'm guessing the forwarding rules are working...??

Any advice appreciated....thanks....

Turns out everything was in-place and working correctly, I contacted BT via E-mail Support and the problem was resolved the following morning - I believe it was an issue with the Domain Forwarding not working correctly.....

Hi Senafoxx

I have done some checks on your domain DNS Records,

These all point correctly to the BT IP, i have tried to access the site via Domain.com/index.html and Domain.com/index.php and nither was found,

i would suggest calling through to the Business Broadband Helpdesk and speaking to the technical ownership team to make sure that everything is ok with the back end servers, etc

Thanks

Thanks plumly.....

That makes a bit of sense......when i copied my phpbb installation i copied it to senafoxx.co.uk/public/sfxmusicforums.com (which should be accessible from sfxmusicforums.com according the forwarding rules i entered)...??..do i need to create an index.html (php) file within this folder...??...if so how do i do this...??

thanks....

Hello Again

i belive all BT websites by Default point to index.html/php/asp/aspx etc etc to find the homepage, if you don't have an index page as such then you can set up a HTIAccess file to point to a specific folder when opening the site,

ii'm not fantastic with website so there may be another way of pointing the homepage to somthing other then INDEX buta apart from the HTIAccess file i am not sure,

Thanks

Thanks again...!!

I havent got access to my ftp at the moment, be able to check it out this evening.....

What i dont understand is why the forum launches from senafoxx.co.uk/sfxmusicforums but not sfxmusicforums.com...??..the forwarding i set-up should be pointing to the same location...??...so the index.php must exist "somewhere"....!!

thanks i'l post back once i find out where my index file is...!!
