I was allocated a BT number over 20 years ago. When I decided to change providers there was no trouble transferring the number
But I have been sent round the houses recently trying to change againin November. Despite complaints, despite going to OFCOM. I have been without an allocated number since the old provider closed down before there was a chance to transfer.
I have registered here in the hope I get some helpful advice. I was allocated the number because of a medical condition that has affected my memory abilities. therefore I was allocated an easy to remember number. Now I have lost it.
the old provder tells me it is the new provider who can take it up. the new provider tell me they cant ask for it from BT. Who can I turn to???? How can I find out if my number is still there and how can I ask personally to get it reinstated?
