I'm a bit confused about web addresses

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope someone can help me, I'm new to website building and it is confusing me.  I have a domain name with bt and web hosting;

www.niddynoddy.co.uk

I have just started putting together a web page using the wizard and have publishing version 1. All ok so far. BUT, when I put www.niddynoddy.co.uk into the address box it comes up with a message from BT saying that this domain name is owned by someone. At the end of the wizard section after publishing it gave me this address

http://home2.btconnect.com/niddynoddy/

When I click on this address it takes me to my page.

What is going on? How do I make my pages appear when you type in www.niddynoddy.co.uk? ie when someone else types in my domain name how do I get it so that they see the pages not BT's message.

Please help!

Zoe

You have published your site in the free webspace. This is not the same as a paid for hosting package. Are you sure you actually have a paid for hosting?

well I think so, I am going to be paying 2.99 for BT web hosting.

In that case it sounds like you do have the paid for web hosting but you have built your site in the free webspace instead.

On the manage web hosting page you will need to click on manage niddynoddy.co.uk rather that manage your free webspace, which as i mentioned isn't the same thing.
