I have BT Broadband, a static IP and keep getting a warning from my 2 Wire Router
by e-mail that I have and ICMP flood payday loans online detected. My concern is that someone is trying to
hack into my router (BT HGV2700) and network. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, they were very good. Just give them a call with your static IP address and the address of the attacking IP and they will block it. All sorted with one phone call within a few hours.
Hi,
I have a similar problem in that my static ip address is under attack with an UDP flood which is coming from a IP address registered in China. (See my post http://business.forums.bt.com/t5/Broadband-and-internet/UDP-Flood-Attack-from-China/m-p/34025)
Have you asked BT to either block the offending address or issue you with a new static IP? I'll be giving them a call in the morning to see what is the easiest and quickest to implement andI'll let you know.
Cheers
Make sure you call the Tech Helpdesk and report it. And as for feedback.
I would hope that once several reports are received BT can block that IP address and others related to it.
