Is there a way of setting up for IMAP? On my Outlook settings (BT business Lite) there is a label stating "IMAP setting access disabled".
Thanks
Hi rogerh,
I am afraid that standard lite email accounts do not have and not able to be used via IMAP. If you want to use IMAP, you would need to purchase Office365 for small business which is a premium account which does come with IMAP, but this product can only be used with domain name email, which means you are not able to upgrade a @btconnect.com e mail address to this product.

One thing I would add is that you can set up a new email account with the domain name on office 365 and set up forwarding to the new email so that all emails do come through to the new e-mail address.
This mean that during the set up your emails will not be interupted or put offline during an upgrade.
Hope this helps

Given the wide spread usage of IMAP, it really is very POOR service that BT does NOT offer IMAP capability to its business customers who have email.
It is this sort of frustration that gives BT a bad name.
As a BT Share Holder, I find it very disappointing. What are the BT Directors getting paid for if they cannot make sure that the business is competitive ?
The other hosting providers that I use for the business boh offer offer IMAP.
Please escalate to BT Management.

Hi @ethersol
BT do have IMAP/exchange email in the form of Office 365 for Small Business/premium product. We do not however offer this with the 10 free email licenses which we provide with business broadband as standard.
Sorry for the misunderstanding
