Hi JohnGG
BT connect is not scheduled to ever have an IMAP facility, this is however available on our Office 365 Small Business product.
Thanks

Hi Burkem5,
Thank you for your answer. Do I have it right that BT's clients who use (and pay for) Office 365 Outlook will not get IMAP unless they buy an Office 365 Small Business product which they may not need?
As IMAP is the new standard it forces me to set up gmail accounts for every user because I am not going to pay again for a Microsoft Office licence which I already have. It is hard to follow the BT logic because once the e-mail account is no longer with BT, it becomes a bit easier to change broadband provider. So if BT does not bother to provide its Infinity clients with a basic IMAP service, I guess it is worth the pain of going through an e-mail account transfer to gmail or similar... or am I missing something?
Kind regards,
JohnGG
Hi JohnGG
All BT Lite email accounts come free as a part of BT Business Broadband or with BT Business Domains/Webhosting, for this reason we only give POP/POP3 on these.
We do have an IMAP and Exchange Facility but this is only available on the chargeable Small Business Product.
I am sorry that you feel you have to change provider in order to get this.
