Hi,
Is there a quicker way to get to my eShop Admin page? At the moment i have to follow the following steps (I assume the rest of teh eShop user have the same route):
8 steps to logon!!!
Surely there is a quicker way way which should be no more than 1-2 screens?????
Totally agree, I have the same problem.
I bookmarked the login page and tried to enter the domain name and password but it never seems to accept the details, either on Internet explorer or mozilla. Talk about longwinded.
Yes, there is a quicker way. And I stumbled upon it totally by accident....
Part One
1. Login to Admin section of your eShop as detailed above in original post to this thread.
2. Sign Out using the sign out button at upper RH part of Admin section
3. Bookmark this page
Part Two
1. Login in again to BT Manage Web Hosting following steps 1-3 as detailed above in original post to this thread.
2. This time click "Change FTP password for ......your domain"
3. Set FTP password
Part Three
1. Go to Bookmark as in Part One - Step 3
2. Login using your domain (without www. at the front) and FTP password
3. Let your web browser remember login/password details (optional)
Now each time you want to access website just go to bookmark. This should half your number of clicks to reach Admin section, and at least you don't have to faff around with the BT MyOffice bit.
Actually the above instructions are based upon my memory of something I did about 4 months ago. I may not have got it totally right. Basically play around with the FTP password and Admin login page and you should be able to do it.
100% agree that we shouldn't have to do this. BT should provide simple instructions for this kind of thing......
Hey Guys, I would put this in the new 'customer idea' section of the forum they seem to be a lot faster to respond in there, it's http://btb.lithium.com/t5/Customer-ideas/idb-p/Customerservice
Kinda what graemewilliams said but shorter...
go to http://hosting.hostingbt.com/OS4 and log in with the domain name and FTP password to bypass the first 4 steps from the first post.
