Hi folks I'm trying at setting up phone systems at work and can't get it working. What I have: ISDN2e from BT. Seimens Gigaset DX800A all-in-one phone system (1 x base, 6 x handsets) What I have done: I connect 1 cable (RJ14 perhaps) from BT NTE8 ISDN2e box to base station. Base station recognises ISDN line and starts connection wizard. I get a solid green light on ISDN2e box. Base station doesn't recognise MSN number - I manually set this and end wizard. However, when I try and dial, I get no connection. I've tried various combinations for the MSN number: 44131 XXX XXXX 0131 XXX XXXX 131 XXX XXXX XXX XXXX XX XXXX No success. BT has tested the line and reports no faults. Any help/ideas would be appreciated! Thanks Dave |

On most telephone systems when programming MSNs you don't need the area code. In your area which is a Director area I don't know if you would need the exchange code as well so just try the last 4 digits.

Normally if you don't programme a MSN it willl automatically ring the main handset or group. What do you get if you ring the number?

I agree as I don't usually use area codes. Whenever I dial a number, it will automatically recognize where I am calling.

Hi,
did you manage to get your system working in the end? If so what did you need to do?
Thanks
