Is there a Mac alternative to Communicator?

Or an Open Source alternative that I can configure to work?

Thanks

I have been trying Microsoft Messenger on the corporate settings but can't seem to get it to connect.

The settings copied from Office Communicator are server: im.btconnect.com and the protocol TLS

However, I am getting an error saying that the digital certificate is not installed and am not sure if it is going to be possible to get this working. I will persevere, but maybe you will have more luck with it.

EDIT: Having looked into this a bit more, the client BT offers is Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 meaning that it is most likely Live Communciations Server 2005 that they are running.

In which case, the client you will need is Microsoft Messenger for Mac 6.0.3 and not 7.0 which is what I was trying. You can download this from the following link:

Thanks - I'll give that a go when I have a few hours spare - it's a bit rubbish though from BT don't you think?

I guess they simply cater for the majority which means Windows users.
