Missing Network Devices in Hub Manager

Hi,

I have been using my Business Hub (BT2700HGV) for the last 6 months or so.  My basic network attached to this consists of 2 wired PC connections and, wirelessly, a PC, a printer, an XBox and an internet radio.

I have each of these configured within the hub as fixed IP addresses on the local network.

I discovered this week that 2 of the wireless devices (XBox and Internet Radio) have disappeared from the "Local Network Devices" list on the hub manager, and are also no longer listed on the LAN Statistics or NAT & Address Allocation pages of the settings tab.  Likewise, they are not included in the content screening pages (which I have turned on for some devices).  Until recently, they were listed on each of these pages alongside the other devices.

The radio is still working OK, but the XBox is no longer able to connect to the internet.

The Hub Manager does list the other 4 devices, but now consistently reports these as "not connected", even when they are definitely in use.

Following advice elsewhere on these forums, I have tried clearing the device list - but on repopulation it still only found the same 4 devices, despite the fact that the internet radio continues to work.  I have also, of course, tried rebooting the hub (several times).  The lists are definitely set to "show inactive devices", so they are not merely hidden from view.

Can anybody suggest how I can force hub manager to "find" the missing 2 devices?  I suspect the XBox not connecting is related to this in some way, but cannot check its Hub settings unless the Hub can display these.

Thanks for any suggestions.

An update - after doing some more online searching (outside this forum), I have discovered that this seems to be a bug in the router related to enabling/disabling Openzone.

I have now tried this myself, and proved it to be so.  I normally have Openzone disabled.  When I ENABLED it, the Hub manager immediately starts reporting the network status device correctly.  I subsequently DISABLED it again, and the network status device is now wrong.

Fortunately, while Openzone was enabled I was able to resolve the problem of the XBox not connecting, which was related to me having cleared the device list - and the Hub not subsequently "finding" it again.  I think as long as I do not clear the device list, it will continue to connect.

However, I will need to remember to enable Openzone again in future, if I want to make changes to the existing devices, or have problems adding new devices.

This seems quite a big "bug" for the router to have - I am surprised that nobody else on here seems to experience this problem?  I can't be the only one with Openzone disabled.

However, I am glad that at least I now know a workaround for my own system.

The device status should in no way affect functionality of devices, or DHCP working on the router. I have tested this previously and everything works as normal (web+local).

Apologies for the delayed response.
