Move Of Business

Hi all,

I was hoping someone may be able to help or advise.

We currently run our SME from home and use Virgin Media as our ISP due to BT speeds being crazily slow.  

Hopefully in the coming month or so we will be moving home/business to an area that does not have Virgin and also experiences very slow Broadband speeds.  BT Business indicates a speed of up to 3mb download...

I have gone through the BT Business website and need to speak to someone who can advise us of the actual speeds that can be achieved if we were to transfer our Business across to BT as opposed to other and annoyingly faster ISP providers such as EE and Sky.  I am more than aware of line rental issues and that BT own but would appreciate some guidance on how we can achieve faster and more stable Broadband in the new area.

Hi CHRIS348,

With just a postcode we can only estimate what speeds you might get for your new property, if you have a line number we can give a slightly more accuarte speed for the line, but is is still an estimate we are not able to guaranttee speeds. 

If you want to be able to stipulate what speeds you want you would be looking at a leased liine/private circuit which is provided by BT Net as there are dedicated lines direct from the exhange to the property, if you are interseted in this or maybe a bond lined where you can combine the speed of upto 4 lines, drop me a private message with your details and details of the new property and I can get someone to give you a call to discuss it.
