We are relocating our business about 3 miles away and need to plan the telephone changeover. We will have a new telephone system at the new premises and will be leaving the old system at the existing premises. BT have confirmed that our existing telephone numbers can be relocated to the new premises.
Our problem is that BT seem to want a fixed date weeks in advance when the telephone stops working at the existing premises and starts working at the new premises. In reality, this is not possible for us as the move will be over a period of a couple of weeks and we will need telephones working at both premises. We have 2 incoming ISDN lines and a system with 15 handsets/extensions for our employees and need a similar facility a the new premises.
We appreciate that we cannot have the same number working at different premises but there must be a way to perhaps transfer the new numbers to the new premsises and have "another" number allocated at the existing premises so that calls can be transferred.
Does anybody have experience of this? We have already ordered 2 new ISDN lines for the new premises.
Help!!
Hi Kevwheeler,
You can certainly call the Business Sales team on 0800 800 152 and ask them to setup an order to advise your customers that the number has changed and to redial your new number. I believe this is a chargable service.
Thanks,
Jordan
