Multiple phone lines

I am in the process of launching a magazine. If I had, say, 50 advertisers, is there a way to allocate a unique telephone number to each advertisement which, when dialled, diverts to the advertisers original phone number? (allowing them to monitor response). Also, I'd need a new line for every subsequent NEW advertiser. Possible?

Is it simply a case of purchasing LOTS of phone lines?

Hello, I was searching for similar answers. I require a total of 30 analogue lines but would like to have them in packs of 10 lines, over say a period of 4 months or thereabouts. My business would simply announce a recorded message to my customers outlining my list of products. I have the required "30 line Announcer" that simply needs plugging into standard BT  phone sockets. I shiver at the thought of spending £100 per line instalation fee. Is there another less expensive way to accomplish this?

Many thanks, Ed.

Hi Ed,

I am not familiar with "line announcer", is it a BT product? Couldn't find any info on it on bt.com about it.

Anyway, if all you require is a BT line it sounds like a pretty good deal (getting 30 automated lines for the price of one!) 😄

Having said that, I don't think you can avoid the installation fee if engineer work is required to get the line working (£ 106.37 excl. VAT for a 12 month contract - if you can get a longer contract of 2 years it will be a bit cheaper. Check this Connection & rental table for a bit more info on connection fees).

I don't know if there is a way around this as I am not familiar with "line announcer", but if you can give some more info on it I am sure someone else out there can offer some more help!

Cheers,
