Hi, I recently started a contract for BT Infinity Broadband, I assumed that I was paying by direct debit but this hadn't been set up so a bill went by and was unpaid. Today I received a notice saying that my account has been terminated, when I checked my post I found that BT had sent me ONE reminder about the bill that I had not opened. Is it normal for BT to take this drastic action after only one reminder and NO restriction of service? It is now out of hours to contact BT I have tried paying my bill but it is showing Zero balance on the automated system.
Actually I've just realised that the one reminder I have is for the previous quarters rental which has been paid

I would contact Billing to be honest. Without full details there's no way of knowing exactly what happened.
