I have recently set up an account for the Web Hosting Starter pack to create and host my new website.
I used the EasySite Wizard and successfully created a webpage and published it.
I have since used the Site Promoter to get my site listed on search engines.
When I try and use www.swiftsec.co.uk which is my website address it doesn't exist anywhere?
Can anyone help and advise me of how BT make the site visible to the general public. I am baffled as I have done everything I think I need to do for my website 😕
ps. I am not sure if I have done it in the wrong section, I activate my free web page and then clicked on Manage swiftsec.co.uk and created the website there, but when I click on manage free web space there isn't a site created
Thanks 🙂

@ BPSUK
Thanks very much, that is brilliant! Great price too, and if it works I can send the downtime reports into BT on a monthly basis and they can pay for the monthly fee with credit notes... Hey, I might even make money...

Thanks Kieran
I will give them a call tomorrow as its definitely not working, I may have done something wrong with never having done a web page before. Did you create yours via Manage Web Page or Manage your domain name? BT's instructions to be honest are very poor.
Thanks 😄

I would not go that far 🙂
When you use any PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising program then it can get very expensive to pay for the clicks only for the customer not actually get to your site or shop, hence I use the company I posted the url for and I also have my own back up detection software which kicks in as well
Anyway, it looks like no shop, site is working on any BT server at this time, I am sure that it will be fixed very soon (fingers crossed) otherwise watch Sky News in the morning 🙂

Hi all
well on a positive note, its useful for me to know its not something that I`ve done wrong whilst trying to build my site. www.highlandweddingplanner.co.uk. Like many others it was there one minute and gone the next! I hope its back soon - I need to work on it!!
In BT`S defence I have just moved over form another provider and have been really impressed so far with the level of support.
I have found the live chat really useful (I know its not available right now) but when I have had call to use it, I have been more than happy with the help I have received.

@ Kieran
Glad you like it, I used that software to take a hosting company to court a couple of years ago and won, well after the defendant viewed my report logs it never actually went to court, they settled the day before (£20,000.00)
This was for a fault when went on and on and on for a period of 12 months or more, but they got their just deserts in the end
Oh, by the way, I moved to BT, OK I know they have their email server problems (usually on a Friday) but this is the first time in 2 years that their servers have failed for all BT customers (that I know of anyway) so, stuff happens, as long as it is fixed in the morning then I will forgive them 🙂
Lets hope the following is gone in when I come back to work:

Dave
