My wifi has just stopped working.

Came home this evening and on the screen was a message from Norton but since then I have been unable to use the wifi on my computer.   Reset hub and wifi button on the side of hub but its still not picking up the signal. All the blue light's on the hub are working - even the wirless connection light is fine, but its just not connecting with my computer for some reason.  I followed the BT help desk and connected the hub and computer with an Ethernet cable and the computer instantly found the network and connected again but every time I disconnect the Ethernet cable from the computer the connection is lost and I've now had to move the computer next to the hub and run it permanently on the ethernet cable.      Can anyone give me some advice...... My hair is already very grey but I have a feeling I probably won't have much left soon if I can't resolve this.
