Network viewer

Hi can anyone help

 

I am trying to view our cctv ( dvr ) through a cop security network viewer on my PC  it appear to be connected |( green light is showing as connected ) but there are no images showing on the PC screen.

Do I need to port forward ? and how do I do that ? there is facility to do this on my router but I am not sure what application to send to my device ( dvr )

if you are connected via an internal network then I would not think that you would need to port forward -  i.e.. if you are connecting to the internal IP 192.168.1....

if you are trying to connect via your public IP or the IP that you have assigned to your cctv system then I would think so

 

check your manual for the remote viewer that should tell you which port you need (usually 80)
