Just had my BT Business Broadband activated, and with nothing plugged in apart from my Laptop I tested the speeds, I am getting only 5mbps download speeds.
It's an ADSL2 router, I think the speeds promised were up to 20mbps. Can you advise?
Without knowing your line characteristics it is hard to say ... but 5Mbps is within the UP TO 20Mbps
Post your Attenuation, SNR and sync figures (from the Hub) and then it may be possible to say whether teh 5Mbps is what teh line will support or it is underperforming
During the first ten days, you may find that the speeds vary quite considerably. If, after this period, you are still experiencing slow speeds, then Contact Us
