This trial is now closed, no more applications can be accepted, I'm sorry to those of you who weren't selected.
To all of you who applied, please accept our thanks for your interest, it has been noted that there was an impressively high response rate.
I've sent off a registration form ...
It will be interesting to see how the new one performs (provided I am selected) and with what I have attached to my current router, I would certainly exercise the new version.
edit to add:
Not selected ! And it already shows a problem that the new hub does not support BT Broadband Talk (VOIP).
Do you assume if you've not heard anything back then you haven't been successful?
I don't have any more information at this time, EddG. I would, however, assume that trialists have all been contacted by now. I'm sorry that you were unsuccessful, you too, MHC, I feel sure that your insights would have been valuable.
Unfortunately, the trial involved a strictly limited number and these would have been chosen as a representative sample of broadband lines.

I'll try and "break" anything! Or at least exercise it to extremes ...
But I did at least show up one potential problem with VOIP compatibility. I'll have to try and get one when they are released though, just to see how they perform.
I was well up for testing it on my 9km line! Just to see how it compares to the others, 2700hgv amazing speed but useless for holding to connection. Whereas 2701 slight hitch in speed, but superb stability.
I hope there will be another trial version coming. I would like to take part of it.
