We're a small charity based in East Grinstead and after Christmas, experienced severe disruption as a direct result of a BT engineer inadvertently cutting our two phone lines and fax line (to which our internet is connected) whilst fitting a new phone line in a neighbouring office.
The whole debacle took a week to resolve in the period immediately after Christmas and - nearly five months on - we are still awaiting a full explanation and apology in writing and ideally a small donation (in place of compensation) for the loss of our service for a week.
We are a registered charity providing services to bereaved children and families. We regularly receive calls and emails from families who are often distressed following the death of a loved one and obviously a quick response is a necessity.
For your information, we wrote to BT Correspndence Centre, Providence Row, Durham DH98 1BT on 17th January and again on 15th February (both send recorded post - delivery confirmed).
