Office 365 E Mail on BT Business - i pad2

I've set up my Microsoft Office 365 E Mail following the instructions from BT. On my laptop it works fine, but not so straightforward on my i pad 2. Ive followed the instructions to the letter. I can now receive e mails but will not send e mails either on wi fi (BT connect) or 3G T Mobile Orange. I get the following error message:-

 

"A copy has been placed in your out box. The recipient name@btconnect.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying."

 

Would appreciate some help on the subject.

Hi Trecker,

 

If you go into settings - mail contacts calendars - highlight the account you've created - select pop - description:enter anything.

 

Email address field:emailaddress@btconnect.com or @mydomain name.com

Username:emailaddress@btconnect.com or @mydomain name.com

 

Please login to http://myoffice.bt.com - manage services - email - manage mailboxes to check the mailbox name for the username field.

 

Incoming server: pop.outlook.com

Password: password

 

Click advanced, set port to 995, ssl: on.  Go back to the previous page, click outgoing server - primary server.

 

Hostname: smtp.outlook.com port 587, SSL: on

Username and password: enter the same as on the incoming settings.

 

All the settings should now be correct, delete any email in the outbox as they may have incorrect settings at the moment.
