So I have followed the instructions shown in:
http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc952755.aspx
and
http://community.office365.com/en-us/wikis/exchange/2490.aspx
but when I use the command "set-mailbox -identity david@loescher.org.uk -RulesQuota 150kb" I get the following error:
"A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument '-RulesQuota'.
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [Set-Mailbox], ParameterBindingException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : PositionalParameterNotFound,Set-Mailbox"
how do I solve this, or how to I incense my rules quota from 64kB.
or do I have to leave bt and set up my own private exchange account?
Hi Loesch89,
I'm not 100% sure on this, but do you have office365 for small business i.e. the chargeable service at £4.50 a month, this would allow you to have an admin user, which I imagine is needed for what you are trying to do.
If you do have this, we could investigate if this is possible, if not you would need to upgrade first of all.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Sorry for my delayed reply, yes I did have the paid for service, and I managed to chat with someone online and they said that the service BT offers isn't the same as the one that Microsoft offer. So I took this to mean it wasn't possible, so I’ve moved my e-mail client over to a Microsoft owned account which gave me a much wider selection of admin controls anyway.
it might be worth posting if this actually true as this thread comes up on the first page of googleing "office 365 rule quota" for me and so someone else trying to do the same thing will see this and assume it's not possible (when in actual fact I never got a definitive answer I just didn't have time wait around)
Thanks
David
Hi Loesch89,
I'm pretty sure powershell is disabled on the BT version, we might be able to send a request for this to be increased from our side, but I'll have to wait for a request to do this with a live account to be sure. I'll update the thread if I come across one.
Thanks,
Steve
