Office 365 & Junk

More Gotchas than Beadles About......

If you intend on collecting your email via POP3 and not via the wonderful (yuck) web interface, be aware that junk filtering is turned on automatically.

Anything that hasn't already been filtered out BEFORE it gets to your mailbox (please read around here for more on this) may end up in your Junk folder, and can't be picked up by your POP Client. Very useful and well thought out.

Make sure that you login to the account at least once and tell it to stop doing so. You can then make your own decision as to what is junk and what is not.

This doesn't matter if you have an upgraded account with IMAP......
