I have been through some of the topic where i see related answers but not clear indication if its possible or not.
I am willing to transfer some of the PSTN phone line into VOIP lines
In our office currently we are using Asterisk server and routing only incoming calls using Direct inbound numbers (sip numbers), and willing to transfer our phone line to BT and use it both for inbound and outbout and i expect BT to serve us VOIP line where we can simply use that as Inbound or outbout Routes. Is this possible?
Or in simple terms,
can we use BT VOIP to be used with our asterisk server in any way?
Any feedback would be helpful before we move our entire line and broadband towards BT.
For VoIP, I think BT has a specific plan for that. You can contact them about it.
i think you cant change PSTN to VOIP.......... company have some policies about PSTN......... you should contact to the comapny and tell them about your problem......
Yes we can change PSTN to VOIP, but my concern is only if we are allowed to use it via our Asterisk Server or Not.. so that i could use the way i want, and inbound and outboud according to my plan.
Hi,
You should be able to move PSTN to VoIP, but if you are using a server then that complicates things.
My advice would be to contact the VoIP Helpdesk on 0800 169 1146. They may be able to advise you further.
