Very dissapointed in BT so far. We have a business account and since we moved to a new house about 3 years ago we have issues where people on the other end of the phone cannot hear us, and most automated machines cannot even hear the tones from our keypad! We have had the engineers on a couple of occasions but they insist there is nothing wrong and it must be a problem in the house. We normally use DECT phones so bought a wired phone and plugged that into the master socket and still the same issue.
Last weekend whilst having dinner with two different sets of neighbours whose houses were built at separate times, many years apart, it seems we all have exactly the same issue, therefore it is highly unlikely we all have the same wiring faults within our homes. We currently have to make most phones calls through our mobiles as otherwise people simply cannot hear us and frankly this is not good enough.
I guess no one from BT is interested then!!!!
I SUGGEST YOU CONTACT FAULTS AND EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM, THEN THEY SHOULD GET OPENREACH TO LOOK AT IT.
