Re: BT Domain redirect not working!

Hi there, I have a problem with redirection of my domain name from BT (.co.uk) to my free webspace, I did try a couple of times the manage domain name forwarding service of BT, and i did receive the email saying that i will take 24 hours, but still when i visit the site (xxxxxxx.co.uk) it says 403 Forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server. but when i visit the free webspace it's working. I need to use my domain name because it's worthless if I cant use it. by the way on my free webspace, when i go to manage ftp page, it says  "Click here to access.NB: Domains cannot be used with this web space" What does it mean? I thought I can redirect my domain name to the free wabspace as stated on the Help and Support Article  http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8761/c/1995,2003,2045

I'm hoping for some answers.

Thanks

Many thanks for offering to help, much appreciated - the domain is www.thebesominwoking.org.uk and I am trying to forward this to my free web space http://home2.btconnect.com/thebesominwoking/ where we have a temporary holding page. Ideally I want to redirect my primary domain directly to a wordpress blog at http://wokingbesom.wordpress.com but not quite sure how I can achieve this other than via a link from the website. One step at a time I guess?

I have also try to redirect my domain via my free web space in bt.  Website which I bought through BT is www.adventshow.org.uk.  I can access it via http://home.btconnect.com/innspark/adventshow but not through the straight address.  I can also check the link in the domain manager and it works ok.  I do not understand why there is a problem.!

I am also having the same issue. I am trying to forward an email address on behlaf of my boss...I can access my site via http://home.btconnect.com/chemsolglobal.com/ but not at www.chemsolglobal.com. I assume this is something to do with having two www entries? Can you please delete the unrequired one and confirm once done. If this is not the problem, please advise what course of action I should take.

Hi There.

Also having problems redirecting.

error when trying to redirect my site Boutique101 :

You are trying to set a www record, when one already exists for this domain. This can cause issues with the domain resolving properly. None of the changes just submitted have been saved. If you need to change a www record please use Advanced Domain Manager.

Tried to ammend www entry in Advanced Domain Manager but it isnt allowed as option is protected.

Help on resolving this much appreciated.

Thanks
