If you are connecting with ethernet throw the CD away, open IE and put 192.168.1.254 into the address bar which should get you on to the interface for the router.

If you cannot do this perform ipconfig command from command prompt. To access command prompt click start>run type cmd in the box and click>OK

When you do ipconfig the Default Gateway should be the IP address of the router ususally 192.168.1.254. If it is not you might need to alter the TCP/IP settings in network connections> TCP/IP properties to make sure it is set to automatic
