Re: The ticket # 2483363

Recently a tech has helped with my website. Since then I cannot publish it wont accept my password.

Thought I would change my sites password in my services  on the FrontPage
extensions, waited for ages after pressing next, but nothing happened
after half an hour.
I then managed to change the password
pressed next and received this message

Starting users, port: 80, web: "/".

Created: unknown
Version: unknown
Error: The server administration programs and the server extensions on
the web server are not compatible. The server is too old to use with
this administration program.

I still cannot update my web site

Assuming you are not using sub webs in your Frontpage install it is usually a good solution to uninstall the server extensions and reinstall them again with the password you want.

You can do this with your Frontpage Manager, usually the top option under Site Builders, choose the "uninstall" tab and then hit next until complete and then choose the "install" tab and add the password you want and hit next until complete. It might take a few minutes but it shouldn't take longer than maybe five minutes.

Th issue with the password has now been solved thank you

But I have now received a message back from the techs
We kindly advise you to point your domain to our name servers:
> ns1.carrierzone.com
> ns2.carrierzone.com
> ns3.carrierzone.com
> ns4.carrierzone.com

On looking my domain name up on whois I get this

 Registrar:
Register.com Inc t/a British Telecom [Tag = BTNAMES]
        URL: http://www.btconnect.com
Name servers:
        dns01.gpn.register.com
        dns02.gpn.register.com
        dns03.gpn.register.com
        dns04.gpn.register.com
        dns05.gpn.register.com

How do I change these, I have been with b.t for over a year, why have the name servers changed.

I wondered why my web site is dead.

Has everybodies name server changed?

As far as I know Bt hasn't changed their nameservers, and I did a quick dns lookup as well and it looks like you don't have a zone file provisioned on those name servers. Which is a complex way of saying if you switch to those name servers your site will go down. From what I can see your nameservers are correct the way they are so I wouldn't mess with them if I were in your shoes.
