Reduced Upload Speed

I've had BT Total Broadband for years and have been using a Belkin ADSL Modem/Router (about 8 years old). After receiving an email telling me that I should get an ADSL 2+ Modem to maximise my upto 8Mbps connection, I bought a new Business Hub off Amazon and installed it Wednesday. Speedtests using my Belkin have always been around 1.84Mbps download and 360kbps upload - I check it regularly including on Wednesday. Speedtests through the Business Hub gives 1.81Mbps download - pretty much the same as before - but just 150kbps upload - less than half as before. I've performed the tests on Wednesday and Thursday - 24hours apart. Why has the speed gone down?

Like your download speed, your upload speed is "Rate Adaptive" and will vary according to congestion.  If you suspect a fault, you should contact the helpdesk: Contact Us
