Hi guys,
Basically I own a shop and have a cctv system installed, to which the DVR is able to do remote viewing. However ive been told that I would need a static ip address and this is an additional fee of £5.50 However I have emailed the dvr company and they said it is possible to use a ddns. I dont know how to do this, but anyway would I still need a static ip address.
Thanks in advance,
Zeshan
Hi there Zeshansajid
You could certainly use DDNS, BT however would not offer this. If your DVR company could do this then thats perfect and they could go ahead and set this up.
I would believe that the static ip would be the easiest route to go through as BT would support this for you and any issues with this would come direct to us.
its totally your choice at this point
Hope this helps
