Hi Guys
I have created my own site using Easysite Wizard Pro and I am now being advised that users of my site have to scroll across to see the page. I have been advised to set my entire site's page width to 800px but I am not sure how to do this.
Please can someone provide an idiots guide to this I am a complete newbie.
Thanks in advance

One of the menus has an option for browser centering. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it may be under the pencil icon.
I gather that you have a relatively large screen and have designed the site to fit your own screen.
All you should need to do to make this smaller is make your browser window narrower when designing the site and make the site fit this window, rather than running it maximised.
Hi cathryn_Q,
Sorry to read about the problems that you have been having.
Have you had a look at the forum post - Easy Site Wizard: site isn't full screen, page size too small this gives you details on how to change the page size.
Hope this is of help

Thanks Dave and Tracey for your answers.
Dave - I have minimised the screen and change the pages to fit however when I preview the site all the pages appear only to the left hand side of the screen, and it is not central.
Tracey - I have viewed the discussion you referred me to, and it states that you are able to centralise the website, how do I do this?
Keenly awaiting your responses.
Thanks
Hi Cathryn_Q,
Have you followed the instructions below? If you have and still having issue please let me know.
You need to start creating your website in the master template mode. To do this click on the floppy disk icon (top left) and then click "edit master page". Any changes that you will make, will be made to all pages. You can then go into each page separately and adjust as you please - initially however the layout will be the same as the master page, so if you have one particular image you need to be centred you can edit this in master template and this will then apply to all pages.
Thanks

Hi Tracey
I have a master page and have set everything on it.
I have a large screen and I have been advised that users have to scroll across to see all the writing on the page, which is a annoying, so they say.
I have reset my resolution to 800 X 600 and have begun to change the pages so it fits this size. I was advised that this is the generic page width setting. I am happy to do this, however when I preview the pages all my pages are left justified and I have a large white space to the right. I don't want my customers to see this.
I wondered if I could centralise the entire site.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Cathryn
Hi Dave
You are right, it is under the pencil.
I have centralised all my pages now, and I am ready to publish BUT ....... I am apprehensive that I am unable to test the new page width on other screens because all my screens are huge, and everyone I know has huge screens. Is there anything you can recommend that I try before I re-publish the site and still have the same "its too big" response.
Thanks for all your help.
It wouldn't so much be monitor size as the browser and OS settings, if your desktop size is set to 800x600 (or whatever you find most people that view your site use) then it will appear that way on other people with similar settings.
Hope this helps,
