I have a static IP which has been working when configured on BT 1800 router.
I've been sent a BT 2700 router to try and fix the slow connection speeds (it's no better BTW) but the real problem is that when I try to enter the static IP on the 2700 it says "Errors" and switches back to Obtain automatically. The log says "Already in Use".
Any ideas?

Hi baldrick69
If you have a single static IP, as long as the new router uses the correct login name and password, we will auto assign the IP to router.
If you have a range of static IP's these will need to be setup manually within the router if you have a look at The Small Office Network Guide

Have you checked that the Static IP that you have is on the same subnet on the other end?
Also, checking the logs would be helpful to see whats causing this issue for you.
