Setting up separate wifi access downstairs in a pub

kierabagheera

I have a Business hub 5 that I currently have set up for wifi. I would like to offer free wifi to customers in my pub but I would prefer them to not have access to my own wifi network. How can I set it up so that there is access for myself upstairs and a seperate wifi access for my customers downstairs in the pub?

You would need to purchase another wireless access Point and install that into your Hub5

Hi there,

I would say that if you just don't want other users to have your password then I suppose an access point will be fine.  If you use an access point you are still giving the other users access to your own network (LAN).  Although the password may be different they are still connecting to the same gateway, the same network, your network.

What you need is a router that has multiple SSID capability allowing you to have multiple VLANS.

In laymens terms this creates a virtual lan per wireless network so each one is completely seperate.

Just haver a look for a router that does this within your price range.
