Single Static IP Address

Hi All,

Hopefully you can help me....

I called BT on Monday and ordered a single static IP address, it is just to filter out internal traffic for our web stats.

How do I go about setting this up? As every day since Monday we have had a new IP address each morning when I come into work.

There is plenty of documentation for setting up multiple static IP addresses but nothing about a single static IP address.

We have Business Hub 2 (2701) any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Darrell

Hi,

If you've ordered the IP address already, and you know what it is, then no further configuration or adjustment is required. Simply reboot your router, and the local DHCP server ought to hand out your IP address automatically.

You can verify the IP address you're connected on by quickly visiting a site such as: What is my IP?

This will confirm if you're picking up the IP address.
