Which is an IP in Florida and belongs to:
OrgName: InternetNamesForBusiness.com

PostalCode: 33394

Now, I was told by "sales" that we are hosted in the UK on UK Server, IN a UK Datacentre. Clearly not the cas. Can somebody in BT please commetn officially, as I am not *very* happy about this, as we all know just how cheap it is to host in the states and the fact, this will affect our SEO Rankings.
Can you provide specific information about the datacentre. Where, who with, who provides the transit. Something just doesn't add up here... Either BT are a reseller of a reseller of a reseller.....or they have just really me4ssed this hosting larke up!
Solved! Go to Solution.
BT are offering to take over hosting and THEN uk servers would be involved.
but its not BT hosted so its all N/A
say what?
since when does a sales dept know anything technical. i think you know better about your domain. ignore sales. they probably want to sell you a web hosting package for more commission!
huh.....?
Its very simple, the server isn't located in the UK - it's in Florida! It's not just about my domain it's about the physical server location. This prooves my point exactly *NO ONE* at BT Hosting knows what they are doing!
Sales told me the server was in a UK Datacentre.
BTs server probably is.
i hate sales departments. they want to sell you stuff you dont need! IE BT webhosting.
you already have hosting sorted so just ignore whatever they suggest. they're most likely clueless anyway
Thanks for the comments.
However, it is physically impossible, IP's cat be in different countrys to the server.
The server is in Florida so are BT offering UK Hosting or not?
