I have been using BT for 3 years, and it has been slow for all 3 of the years
on a recent broadband speed test I received speeds of >0.1Mb and yet people north, south, east and west of me are receiving speeds of 1-4Mb
I was wondering why I am receiving these speeds and how I can improve them and if I should just switch provider?
Changing provider is unlikely to improve things - unless you move to a different technology implementation.
Have you ever tried to invesigate why you receive such slow speeds? Are the others you refer to close neighbours?
Can you find your router's operating statistics sucj as Upsttream and Downstream Atteniation and SNR figures along with sync speed and error counts?
0.1Mb/s - you lucky thing
I currently have excatly 0b/s up and 0b/s down with BT. And I get charged £55 + VAT for the non-service.
3days without Business fibre broadband, 3 engineer visits no-show. £600 to leave BT.
