Static IP & DMZ acting strange

stuartiannaylor

Hi I have a static IP from BT and from the initial connection everthing worked fine for about a week.

My server had its DNS entires moved to the static IP address and woohoo things worked fine. I punched holes in my firewall and all the services worked like a dream.

Then one morning whilst I was doing some remote work I lost my connection.

I presumed something must be wrong with the server but everything (logs) and local intranet seems fine.

It would at a guesstimate seem like BT has a firewall in place between my server and the wan. Even though the BT router is set up correctly and my server is allocated the correct IP through the DMZ.

Anyone else had anything similar as I am stumped at the moment?

Stuart

maybe the 2700 router no longer recognised the server device entry correctly and the packets were not being forwarded to the correct destination. the firewall logs should help identify that

Hi stuartiannaylor,

Are you still having issues with this or were you able to resolve?
