Im really needing help so im hoping that someone here can help me,i designed a website using Incomedia X5 and have recently bought my domain name from BT as i was advised it would be better for me to buy a domian and then get the FTP using filezilla instead of using what was included on the software,so ive downloaded filezilla client created the directory(i hope ive done the right) and bought my name from BT but now i find that when i try to configure(dont know how important this step is) filezilla this is what happens:-

Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org
Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready
USER FileZilla
Response: 331 Give any password.
PASS 3.2.7.1
Response: 230 logged on.
Checking for correct external IP address
IP *.*.*.* jc-ca-cc-cdd
Response: 200 OK
PREP 4888
Response: 200 Using port 4888, data token 327080209
PORT *,*,*,*,*,*
Response: 200 PORT command successful
LIST
Response: 150 opening data connection
Response: 503 Failure of data connection.
Server sent unexpected reply.
Connection closed

When i go to the access FTP on the BT page there is about 10 items which has directory and different dates when i click on the one i need and click page and go to Open FTP in Internet Explorer i get message:-

'An error occurred opening the folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to access this folder.

Details
550/: No such file or directory'

so i am truly lost....

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Your Filezilla log is from running the Network configuration wizard. That's not really what you want to do.

What you need to do is either enter your FTP details in the Quickconext boxes at the top of the main screen, or click on File > Site Manager > New Site and save your FTP details in there.

Don't even attempt using Internet Explorer, it hasn't worked properly since version 6.

On the left side of the screen is is a representation of your computer. Find the collection of files that make your website.

On the right side of the screen is a representation of the web server. Find the public folder.

Drag and drop your files from your computer into the public folder and wait for them to transfer, that's pretty much all there is to it.
