Versatility Analogue Module Setup

Hi,

I have just installed a Draytek 2830Vn ADSK Router in our customers office. This unit offers 2 x VoIP Channels to allow analogue phones to connect to it. Upon my request, our customer purchased a Versatility Analogue Module so that we could connect to the analogue ports of the router to enable VoIP calls.

Their existing connections are ISDN so they now have 1 x ISDN Module and 1 x Analogue Module.

After rebooting the PBX, all modules are recosgnised and show 2 ISDN Lines and 2 Analogue Lines.

My problem is this...(eventually :))

When I connect one of the analogue lines to the router (connected via 'AB' Line 1 terminals ro pins 2-5 on a BT 631a plug), the ISDN status light on the wall slowly 'pulses' and all lines become engaged.

The router is connected to an analogue PSTN that their fax machine is connected to, so I am at a loss why the ISDN line is affected when I connect the analogue line to the router. I have also connected directly to the fax PSTN line and the ISDN light 'pulses'.

Do I need to make a change in the Versatility configuration?

I would really appreciate your guidance here 🙂

Thank you

Neil
