Voip on residential line with 0.75mb connection

Hi, desperately need help!

I have a new BT business broadband router with a voip line. I have connected it, reset it and everything appeared to work...I use a panasonic wireless phone and the broadband is plugged into my residential phone line. whenever the phone rings, it cuts off as I answer it and it seems to cross lines with our residential line (also a panasonic system but a different but attached building). BT residential don't seem able to talk with business so I am currently stuck...

Has anyone heard of this sort of problem in the past?

Thanks

Hello,

Not sure how to respond to your issue or if I understand it properly but have you ever registered the voip line to the business hub?

Go to:    www.bt.com/businessbbv

Enter your voip number and the password for it, click next, I believe the next step will ask you for the admin username and password for your business hub. The username is admin and the password is the serial number for the business hub that you will find printed on the hub usually above the bar code ** SN 12 digit number R**. Just enter the 12 digit number without the letters.

Please just follow the steps. This will then register the voip line to the hub and this should resolve the issue.

Your message also reads 0.75Mb line. There is no reason for your BB connection to be this slow. Please try connecting your business hub to the main socket at the premises for this line. Your main socket may be an NTE5 type in which case I would recommend unscrewing the socket and plugging the business hub through the filter in to the test port that is located behind the removable faceplate. This is your direct connection for the line from the dropwire outside.

Please look NTE5 up on Google for an image so you can see if your socket is of this type. The main cause of slow connection and dropping connection issues is internal wiring or additional devices not being filtered correctly on the line. Failing any of the above please call 0845 600 7020 for assistance. The number is 24/7.

Hope this is of some help.
