Website Loading Times

strapstore
Member
Tried a few BT hosted sites running on eShop this weekend and they all seem extremely slow loading. Also tried a few running on the same software (ePages) but different hosts and they all seem fine. Anybody else seen slow loading times from their website? Seems okay in Chrome but if I were a customer using IE8 or IE9 I wouldn't be waiting for the pages to load. I'm sorry, everyone, I'm simply not seeing any difficulty with loading the websites mentioned in this thread either on our office network or on a "stand alone" connection.

As for emily91, I believe your problem is not related to this discussion and I'd advise you to Contact Us so we can help with the shopping basket issue.

Thanks for that, strapstore.  It would be interestingto know if other Internet Explorer users have noticed this issue.

Seems okay now, in all browsers I have tried.

Was really bad at the weekend, not just on my site but on others as well.

I and a colleague is trying to load my site http://eshop.chocolateape.co.uk and others on this Forum on my T-Mobile dongle but no eshops seem to load. We have tried different browsers all you get is a blank white page???

Your site is loading okay from here.

ChocolateApe, it's fair to say that your site is fairly script heavy, with plenty of animation.  This may cause difficulty over a mobile connection.  You may need to test carefully.
