Where is upgrade from 5.29.117.6 firmware for BT2700HGV ??

Hi There,

Having a problem with the BT2700HGV with 5.29.117.6 firmware contacted Bt about the voip not dialing properly out and was told they were aware of the problem and new firmware was being rolled out! But BT do have a phone that will work with it!

How difficult is it to upgrade this router to all users ?

Is this a case of BT deliberately holding back on the Firmware rollout so more customers have to shell out for one of there phones?

I use apple mac's in my office and if a firmware upgrade is released it is available to all users immediately!!

Why can't a company the size of BT do the same??

At BT, we are constantly working to improve the quality of service for our customers and this includes the development of firmware upgrades, which undergo vigorous testing before they are launched. 5.29.117.6 is the current version of firmware and unfortunately we have no announcements to make at this time. All upgrades will be made available to customers simultaneously as part of an automated process.

 

Broadband Voice works with the majority of analogue handsets, so you should find that changing your telephone will solve the issue.
